The volunteers at Liverpool have been an important member of the group support for families. Volunteers help at the centre by providing babysitting at the Women As Mothers and Sleep and Settle Group.
Karitane Family Care Centre offers Child & Family services to families experiencing difficulties with parenting children 0-5 yrs. Sleep/Settle Group

• Each Wednesday 9.30am - 11.30am.
• Babies aged between Birth - 4 months.
• On Average 6 -7 babies in each group with 3 babysitters.

Women As Mothers group

• Each Thursday 10am - 12md
• Runs for 5 weeks.
• Usually 10 babies, with 3-4 babysitters.
• Babies aged 1-6 months.

The roles of the volunteer: Look after the babies while mum is in the group Comfort and settle babies while mothers attend the group Bottle feed babies when necessary.

A staff member is available at all times to help if needed

All volunteer wishing to apply for a position at the centre they are required to first participate in the 9 week Karitane Volunteer Program education at Carramar.
