Volunteer at Randwick

Volunteers wishing to apply for a position at Randwick may phone 9399 6999 for an appointment.

Randwick volunteers play a very important part in supporting our groups.
They provide babysitting at Sleep and Settle Groups, Postnatal Depression Groups and TIPS Parenting Group. Sleep/Settle Group

• Every Monday and every second Wednesday 10-12 am.
• Babies under 12 weeks, parents refer themselves.
• 8-10 babies in each group with 4 volunteers.

Postnatal Depression Groups

• Three groups a year.
• Held on Thursdays 10-12:30.
• Lasts 8 weeks.
• About 8 babies with 4 volunteer babysitters.

TIPS Group, a Parenting Skills Group aimed at Parents of Toddlers.

• Held on demand
• Thursdays 10-11:30.
• Lasts 5 weeks.
• Up to 10 children and 5 volunteer babysitters.

Role of the Volunteer:
To comfort and settle the babies while mother/ father is in the group. Sometimes a bottle feed is given. Volunteers do not change the babies.

A Staff member is always allocated to the group.
