Early Intervention Placement Program

This program offers families from different cultural and language backgrounds, refugee families and families with limited or no family support assistance and referrals to services in the community to gain the tools necessary to understand and support the development of their children and improve their parenting confidence.

This program is for families with children 0-8 years of age. This program is short terms case management providing families information, referral or advice about services in the local community such as:

• Child and Family Health Centre Services

• Community Health Centre Services (including speech therapy, occupational therapy, hearing specialists, counselling)

• Parenting programs for parents of infants, toddlers and children up to 8 years of age

• Migrant support services

• Coping with family challenges

• Housing issues

Links between young people, their families, friends, school and community are maintained or re-established, where appropriate.
